How to open

Tasting
  • Put the oysters in a flat dish garnished with salt, algae, or an adequate support to avoid water loss.
  • Verify the freshness of the oysters by the reaction of the flesh with the tip of a knife.
  • If an oyster is dry or dirty after opening, do not eat as they are presumed unsafe for eating.
  • Avoid contact with ice.
  • Ideal temperature : 5°C to 15°C
How to keep Oysters
  • If placed in a closed basket :
    - At the bottom of the fridge or in a cool place
    - Keep them at a temperature between 5°C and 15°C
    - Optimal consumption upon purchase and preferably not to exceed 1 week

  • If the oysters are loose :
    - Avoid water loss by putting the round shell on a flat surface
    - Keep them at a temperature between 5°C and 15°C
    - Optimal consumption upon purchase and preferably not to exceed 1 week
Eating oysters, the benefits
  • The oyster contains two fatty acids from the omega 3 family in large quantities, which have protective effects on the cardiovascular system.
  • Regular consumption of oysters would reduce the risk of death from cardiovascular disease. These omega 3 are also said to have anti-inflammatory effects, useful in the treatment of pathologies such as asthma, rheumatoid arthritis, psoriasis and inflammatory bowel disease.
